SALMON DERBY

Salmon Derby

May 25 – September 2, 2024

The Salmon Derby is our annual Summer long event for our Members*. Members that are Charter, Non-charter, and Business members are automatically entered into the Derby that runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Derby rules requires all fish to weigh at least 10 pounds to be eligible, there are no prizes for fish under 10 pounds. In addition, you must leave from a port in Manistee County and return to a port in Manistee County. Members are allowed to weigh as many fish as they want to, and will pay out multiple prizes to any one person that makes the top three on the board.

Official weigh stations for the MCSFA Salmon Derby are: Onekama Marine, Arcadia Marine, Insta-launch Campground, Pier 31 Marina and Campground (267 Arthur St., Manistee) Tangled Tackle, Shipwatch Marina, Riverside Charters (522 Water St., Manistee) and Steelhead Hunter Charters (304 River St., Manistee). The boards with the latest results are posted at the above listed businesses. They volunteer their time, and support the MCSFA throughout the year.
